Attention Parents of 3rd to 5th Graders
Welcome to Worship
We will be teaching the Welcome to Worship class for all 3rd to 5th graders starting on Sunday, January 3 from 9:45 to 12:00. The class will continue this study for four weeks (January 3, 10, 17, and 24) as a part of their Sunday school class. There will be a presentation during the 11:00 worship service on January 24 to recognize the children who complete the study. This course prepares them for worshiping with their families.
We are asking that all parents of children in the 3rd to 5th grade (whose child did not attend this class already) to consider letting your child participate in this study and stay each Sunday for the entire class (12:00). This is a very important study that teaches them about the Seasons, Symbols and Sacraments of the church. Child/Youth Protection Training
Child/Youth Protection Training will be offered again this month. If you have not gone to the Training Class yet this year, please sign up for one this month. They will be offered on:
- Wednesday Nights from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in Bence room 304 [Sign up required].
- Sunday Nights from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in Bence room 304 [Sign up required].
We will also offer this class during the day on: - Thursdays, January 7th and January 14th after lunch at 12:45 p.m. in Bence room 304 [Sign up required].
Please check your calendar, call the office at 268-5549 ext 110, and ask Lea Ann Bonner to sign you up for the class. Upon your arrival, check in at the front office.
Acolyte Training
Sunday, January 31 from 11:00 – 1:00
We will hold an Acolyte training class for all 3rd graders (and their parents) who are interested in serving the church as an Acolyte. Any 4th and 5th graders (and their parents) who did not go to training in August are welcome to this class. Training will begin in the Bence building room 304 (3rd grade classroom) at 11:00 and will end at 1:00. Parents are needed to help their children in training. We also ask that you please bring your calendars with you so that your child may sign up for their dates at this time. Lunch will be provided. Call Lea Ann in the main office at 268-5549, ext. 110 to register so that we can plan the food and materials appropriately. For further information, contact Stacy Fiedler at jfiedler904@msn.com.
Warren Willis Summer Camp
Rising 4th grade to rising 12th grade
We will be going to camp again this summer July 19-24. Sign up through umsummercamp.org has already begun. If you know you are going, please go ahead and sign up. We will have our annual parent informational meeting on January 13 at 6:30 p.m. in room 303.

After many requests, we have worked into the church's calendar this wonderful time when families can fellowship together. The atmosphere will be like a Thanksgiving Feast. Each family will be asked to bring a covered dish ... turkey and ham will be provided by the church. (Tent setup begins at 4:00 pm) If you don't want to spend the night in a tent, please come and join us for the feast and fellowship at 6:00.
